AWARDS PRESENTED

 

 

April 17, 2008 The Third Annual Quad College Business Plan Challenge presentations and awards ceremony took place at the Community Theatre League in Williamsport on Thursday, April 17. Eight student teams from Lock Haven University, Lycoming College, and the Pennsylvania College of Technology competed for monetary awards funded by Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum (BFVIF) and Penn College’s Keystone Innovation Grant through the Williamsport/Lycoming Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) program. 

The Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum awarded a $7,500 prize to Tom Keiffer and Scott Brungard from Lock Haven University.

The Williamsport/ Lycoming Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) awarded a $5,000 prize to Piotr Bakker from Lycoming College.

Finally the Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum awarded a $2,500 prize to Sarah Foster and Jessicya Robinson from Lycoming College.

The Williamsport/Lycoming KIZ program is part of a state initiative encouraging creativity, entrepreneurialism, innovative thinking and business start-ups.  KIZ utilizes partner resources and accesses our local colleges to provide services to clients.
